Commission Fundraising FAQ
The Exclusive Program
How does it work?
Foundation Growth Group will set up a custom website and Facebook page for your university. The web site will include an extensive list of the largest and most popular online retailers. If a user proceeds to go online shopping with one of our partners, your foundation will earn revenue based on a percentage of what the user spends. The sales commission is then donated to the Universities endowment.
What entices users to go on the site?
This completely depends on who the user is. Current donors may use the site as an opportunity to maximize his or her charitable contribution. Students are enticed for similar reasons as well as opportunities to save money as Foundation Growth Group receives exclusive discounts from our online retailers. If students reach certain spending targets they may also be eligible for prizes.
How does our university receive the funds?
These funds are first placed into a company bank account, Foundation Growth Group then distributes the adjusted commissions quarterly in the form of a charitable donation - directly to your universities foundations office.
Might a member of the university community feel they no longer need to donate after the use of the program?
Historically the best way to maximize the number of donors to a foundation is through involvement; whether it is consistent small donations, volunteering, advising or participation in university events. Regular use of the universities shopping page will likely entice new donors and encourage more frequent donations by current ones. With valuable tracking information you can find out who is using the site, distribute gratitude, relevant content, and even solicitations.
How will this cost our foundation?
The universits only exspenses are if they chose to market or promote the program. such as sociale media marketing, email promotion, prizes for students, etc.
How is the custom website promoted?
The most effective method of promotion amongst students is through social media. Posting links on the universities Facebook or twitter page garners lots of traffic. Email marketing is also encouraged, rather than spamming alumina with requests for yet another found raising option, we recommend including information about the foundations retail website in newsletters or on the universities web site. Foundation Growth will also provide images and links to student volunteers who also wish to promote the site amongst their social networks.
What makes a university more successful?
Universities with good relationships with alumina and larger student bodies typically earn the greatest return. It is important for foundation offices to be committed to encouraging the use of their shopping page.
Does every university qualify?
No, foundation Growth makes a significant investment into every foundation partner’s future success, and so if we predict our costs (web development, promotion, affiliate relationship establishment, etc) will exceed 10% of your foundations gross annual return, your university will not qualify. However most established universities will qualify.
Can my foundation qualify if we finance the initial costs?
No, our investment in foundations serves as motivation for our team to ensure the highest possible return for all our foundation partners. Foundation Growth does not want any foundation to incur avoidable losses, if we determine your foundation does not qualify then there is a very high chance any initial investment would likely be lost.
